Vebego Foundation pushes boundaries with international focus
The Vebego Foundation, known for its commitment to the welfare of children and young people, is about to increase its impact and expand its mission. With a renewed board and a sharper international focus, the foundation is taking ambitious steps to bring about more positive change, not only in the Netherlands and Belgium, but in all the countries where Vebego operates.
Board expansion
Suzanne Goedmakers, the outgoing chairman handing over the baton after more than nine years, shares her vision for the future. "We have laid a solid foundation by reaching and engaging more colleagues and supporting more children and young people than ever before," says Suzanne. The foundation now aims to expand in the other countries where Vebego companies operate. With a renewed board that includes members from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. Michel Möller is stepping down from the board after nine years, while Ferry van de Boomen and Rita Brouwer remain involved for continuity and knowledge assurance.
Handing over the baton
Suzanne will hand over the chairmanship and pass the baton to Rob Westerlaken, Vebego Cleaning Services' Client Solutions & Specialties director. Looking back on her time at the foundation, Suzanne describes the work as beautiful and rewarding, and sees in Rob the perfect successor for the foundation's future plans and ambitions.
Future plans and ambitions
Rob, who has long been involved with Vebego and its companies, talks about his goal of making the foundation even better known within the Vebego network. He stresses the importance of understanding the needs of colleagues and teams to find their way to the Vebego Foundation. His mission as chairman is clear: to position the Foundation as a powerful tool to support colleagues and communities, and collectively create boundless impact for children, young people and colleagues. "We offer a beautiful flywheel to help colleagues and the people around them and us on our way with a financial backing. Towards a 'brighter tomorrow'. I want to publicise this even more, so that soon all Vebego colleagues will know, support and use the Foundation. So that together we can positively influence the lives of as many children, young people and colleagues as possible. In other words: to make unlimited impact together."
