Meet Board member Sven Bloem

We are very excited to present Sven Bloem as a new Vebego Foundation Board member. Sven brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong passion for social impact.

Background at Vebego
Sven joined Vebego Airport Services at Schiphol eight years ago as Facility Manager and has held various positions since then. He was responsible for cleaning in the Schiphol contract and started up a new contract with Vebego Airport Services Belgium during the COVID period. He is currently Impact & Participatie Manager at Vebego Participatie [Participation], where he is committed to getting as many people working as possible and positioning Vebego as the best employer.

Role within Vebego Foundation
As a Board member, Sven is responsible for the Netherlands. He sees it as his mission to develop new initiatives together with social partners that reach and help more people in difficult situations. “Unfortunately there are also many people in the Netherlands who are struggling. With the foundation, I want to make a difference in this”, says Sven. He strives to ensure that all colleagues are familiar with Vebego Foundation and wants to encourage volunteer work among employees to make a positive impact on people and the environment.

Goals and expectations
Sven wants all colleagues to commit to volunteer work, so that Vebego can make a major social impact. He therefore encourages everyone to become a volunteer or ambassador at Vebego Foundation. “If we, with our 40,000 colleagues, all commit ourselves one day a year, we will really make a big difference! Will you join?”, asks Sven enthusiastically. For colleagues who already do volunteer work, he points out the possibility of receiving a donation through the ‘Mijn Inzet, Mijn Project’ [‘My Commitment, My Project’] programme.

Message to all Vebego colleagues
Sven invites all colleagues to actively participate in volunteer activities and to act as ambassadors for Vebego Foundation. “Together we can make a major positive impact on society. Get involved and increase your impact!”.
